Our Beliefs

At Healing Hands Outreach Ministries Empowerment, our beliefs are grounded in the Word of God. These biblical truths guide our faith, worship, ministry, and the way we seek to live and serve.

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe all Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, forms one Covenant and was given by inspiration of God as the writers were moved by the Holy Spirit. We believe these Scriptures, under the teaching of the Holy Spirit, are the rule of faith and practice in the life of the Christian.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20–21

2. The One True God

We believe in the one true God, who has revealed Himself as existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinguishable, yet indivisible.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:21–22

3. Humanity and the Need for a Savior

We believe the human race was originally created by God in His image and given dominion. Through disobedience and rebellion, sin entered, leaving humanity in need of a Savior who could reconcile us to God, our source of life.

Scripture: Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12

4. Jesus Christ, the Son of God

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary—fully God and fully man.

Scripture: Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6; Luke 1:26–35; John 1:1, 14, 18

5. The Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ

We believe Christ our Savior died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, and afterward appeared to His disciples.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1–8; Romans 4:25

6. The Ascension and Return of Jesus Christ

We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven, His exaltation as Lord at the right hand of the Father, and His return in glory for a glorious Church.

Scripture: John 14:2–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18

7. Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Jesus Christ upon the cross, through whose shed blood we receive the remission of sins.

Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–9; Hebrews 9:12–14; Romans 5:11

8. Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is the believer's obedient response to the command of the Lord. Water baptism is symbolized in Scripture by the crossing of the Red Sea and should represent the believer's release from the bondages and afflictions of the past and entrance into newness of life in Christ.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47–48; Acts 19:1–6; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 10:1–2

9. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father for the empowering and maturing of the Christian, accompanied by the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Scripture: Acts 2:1–4; Acts 8:14–17; Acts 10:44–46; Galatians 3:14

10. The Church and Five-Fold Ministry

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, the expression of the present rule and reign of the Kingdom of God on earth. We believe Christ gave to the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for government and order and for preparing believers for works of service.

Scripture: Ephesians 4:11–13

11. Resurrection, Judgment, and Eternal Life

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, eternal judgment, and everlasting life.

Scripture: John 3:16; John 5:24–27; Mark 9:43–48; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:11–15

12. The Kingdom of God and the Glorious Church

We believe in the present rule and reign of the Lord Jesus Christ in His Kingdom authority through His Body, the Church. We believe this will result in a glorious Church and a global harvest that will characterize the end of the age.

Scripture: Matthew 13:39; Acts 3:21

13. Restoration and Reformation

We believe that the Church is in a process of restoration. God has called us both individually and corporately to repent, be converted, and receive refreshing from the presence of the Lord for the purpose of the restoration and reformation of all things.

Scripture: Acts 3:19–21; Hebrews 6:1–2

14. Reformation Through the Holy Spirit

We are committed to allowing the Holy Spirit to bring about reformation in the Church for the purpose of restoration and the manifestation of the sons of God in the earth.

Scripture: Romans 8:19–21; 2 Corinthians 3:17–18

15. Marriage

We believe that the term “marriage” has one meaning: marriage sanctioned by God, joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.

Scripture: Genesis 2:22–24; Proverbs 18:22

16. Redemption and Restoration

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38–39; John 3:5–6

Our Foundation

The Word of God is the foundation of our faith and ministry. As we grow in Christ, we seek to live according to His Word, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and fulfill the work God has entrusted to His Church.
